Today I wanted to feature some cool and unusual wedding program ideas! Wedding programs are the main interface for guests to follow along with your ceremony, so why not do something memorable and unique that really captures the personality of your wedding? Here are some different ideas, mostly from Etsy and Pinterest – be inspired and enjoy!
Get your nerd on!
First up is a program for the nerd in all of us. This retro comic look is so fun and offbeat! I love it.
Go 3-D (bonus if you can throw some childhood nostalgia in there)
Another one from Etsy – apparently these things are commonly called “Cootie Catchers” – we always called them “Fortune Tellers”, which sounds better to me (and more appropriate for a wedding!). Anyway, these ones are super elegant and will give your guests plenty to distract themselves with.
Use a giant chalkboard
Ok, maybe it’s not really giant, but chalkboard is IN, and I’m in love with this wedding program chalkboard. The hand lettering and little hand drawn leaves are so cute (but not cutesy).
Combine two cute trends into one
This one’s from Pinterest – wedding programs with silhouettes of the bridal party are a great way to keep the wedding program fun and visual! This one even doubles as a fan (the wooden handle makes it an OFFICIAL fan) which is awesome. I’m not sure what the pencil is for… maybe there’s a crossword puzzle on the back? We can only hope. (I love crossword puzzles and would totally have one on my wedding programs, if I ever get married.)
Get super personal
These wedding programs are super cool. Each person in the wedding party gets their own hand-drawn portrait illustration, and some text explaining who they are. Pretty cool to give guests the complete low-down on all your bridesmaids and groomsmen – they’ll feel all the more immersed in your wedding!
Be adorably informative
How adorable is this illustrated wedding schedule program? Give guests a visual on the timeframe of your ceremony and reception – and do it in style with these super cute, whimsical watercolor illustrations! Unfortunately these programs are no longer available on Etsy – but don’t let that stop you from drawing or commissioning your own!
Be hilarious
How funny are these “wedding fun facts”? These could go on the back of your program, and give people something to laugh about while waiting for your ceremony to start. Great conversation starters, too!
