Wedding Invitations

A lightening bolt crashed outside the window and the lights began to flicker.  Angelica pulled her gray and black striped cotton sweater tightly against her shoulders.  Edgar, her feisty black cat, jumped from her lap onto the old wooden floor.   “Lord, let me get through this night” she said to Edgar.  “I must … I must find …”  She quickly turned her head to the window as another clap of lightening struck outside.  Slowly, she turned back to the flickering computer screen and began her search.   Edgar nervously paced beside her chair.  “Tonight” she whispered to Edgar “Nothing will stop me  …”
